Dave Zamborsky earned his Bachelor of Music degree from Northwestern University, then began teaching at Parkway West High School (his alma mater) near St. Louis, MO. Mr. Zamborsky served as Director of Bands at Parkway West for eight years, during which time the program thrived in all areas of concert bands, marching band, and jazz band. Mr. Zamborsky's Wind Ensemble consistently earned Division I ratings at every contest or festival entered, and the Marching Band won the Greater St. Louis Marching Band Festival (the most prominent marching band competition in Missouri) five times. Mr. Zamborsky also began the competitive Winter Guard and Winter Drumline programs at West, both of which earned national reputations in just a few years. While teaching in St. Louis, Mr. Zamborsky also completed his Masters of Music Education at the University of Missouri - St. Louis.

Mr. Zamborsky joined the Jenison Band program in the summer of 2002. His responsibilities at Jenison include Wind Symphony, Concert Band, Marching Band, and team teaching the Junior High and Beginning Bands. Since Mr. Zamborsky began at Jenison, the Wind Symphony has earned ‘I’ ratings at every MSBOA District Festival, and the Marching Band has won two MCBA Flight II State Championships as well as many other awards and honors, including third place in Class AA at the 2006 Bands of America Grand National Championships.

Mr. Zamborsky is a member of MENC, MSBOA, MCBA, Phi Beta Mu, Pi Kappa Lambda, and Phi Mu Alpha Sinfonia.

Michael York is currently in his fourth year as Assistant Director of Bands for Jenison Public Schools. Mr. York earned his Bachelor of Music Education degree from Grand Valley State University. Mr. York’s responsibilities at Jenison include Symphonic Band, Concert Band, Marching Band, and team teaching the Junior High and Beginning Bands. Mr. York also assists with the Winter Guard. During the summer Mr. York enjoys being involved with the Drum and Bugle Corps activity. He is an alumnus of the Glassmen and Santa Clara Vanguard and was recently a visual instructor for the Bluecoats Drum and Bugle Corps.

Anne Gembis began her career at Jenison Public Schools in the summer of 2005. Mrs. Gembis attended Western Michigan University where she earned her Bachelor Degree in Music Education. While teaching at Jenison, Mrs. Gembis has also earned her Masters in Music at the American Band College at Southern Oregon University. Before teaching in Jenison, Mrs. Gembis spent a year as the assistant band director in the Algonac Community Schools for grades 6-12. Her responsibilities at Jenison include 6th Grade Beginning Band, 7th Grade Band, 8th Grade Band, and assisting the High School Band Program. The Jenison Junior High Bands have maintained a long standing tradition of excellence, with Division 'I' ratings at every MSBOA District Band Festival. Mrs. Gembis is affiliated with Sigma Alpha Iota and serves as the Recording Chair for MSBOA District X

Outside of school, Mrs. Gembis enjoys training for marathons, hiking, traveling, and cooking with her husband, Zach.
